On Thursday the 21st of September 2023, the Great Lakes Battery Development Application (DA) received approval from the Northern Midlands Council. This makes the Great Lakes Battery the largest battery project to receive Development Approval in TAS and the first grid connected project for Neoen in the region.

Neoen will begin working on the selection of key assets such as batteries and obtaining a grid connection agreement. We will be able to provide further details on timing and sizing in the coming months.
